Plastic rice

A video has surfaced in which it appears to show a factory in vietnam which is producing artificial rice made from plastic. Is it true people in India are really anxious about this plastic rice. Ok first of all we 'll see how to make plastic rice. We knew that plastic density has been classified into three major group High, Medium and low. In which high and medium density plastic boiling temperature is 120° - 180°C but where as low density plastic is 105° - 115°C in this basis these are been classified. If we produce plastic rice, all we need is low density plastic in the form of melted and cooled state. Imagine that we have got plastic rice. Now the comparison begins, we can take normal rice and plastic rice, Lets boil it for 20 minutes. Original rice consist of amylose and amylopectin and these both are polymers. If this gets heated. The molecules which are tightly packed in rice gets broken and starch forms. Where as plastic rice, it won't boil and it won't make any change because it's density is totally different and it consist of polyethylene. No changes will occur we can't eat plastic rice. On different state of temperature it changes. So it won't mix in any cost. You may ask why the rice bounces? Its because of the starch the molecule in rice after cooked have a vacuum and air it makes the rice to bounce. So according to science, its not possible to make plastic rice.
